new injector and no start
#2
Chapter President
You'll need some help with this.
Crack the 1,2 & 4 injector lines. Have someone crank the engine for no more than 30 seconds at a time until fuel comes out. The engine should try to start, if it does then turn it off and tighten the lines back up.

did you install complete injectors or nozzles? and what type ? from what I've read a 0216 can be caused by air in the fuel, so it is possible to have a bad injector causing your poor performance, and the code could be an old history or whatever.
...or it was time for your VP to give up the ghost.
you could try cracking the line at each injector while its running to see which cylinder is not firing (engine rpm will not change when you find the bad injector)

I have not done that yet, it got too dark last night. Still drinking coffee this morning. But i just got those injectors from gus over there at farm boys diesel, so I know those are all good. That air would work out after running for a while, I need to do that too, my neibors weren't so happy last night. I'm wondering if it's the cross tubes.?

0216 is the injection pump death code...
once you've gotten the truck started and idling, put a wrench on the lines and make sure they're tight... a loose line will cause a funky idle and if the truck sits long enough, hard starts.
