New code for me (P0237)

My book says Map sensor voltage too low. Is this typically a sensor problem? Will my edge ez plugged into the map sensor make a difference? I think I'll disconnect the ez, drive the truck, then check for code again and keep an eye on your all's responses..

I was getting that code and replaced my map sensor with no change. I eventually took off my boost fooler and it went away. Funny thing, I could still hit 28 psi of boost and not throw a code so I guess the fooler isn't needed unless you're pushing some serious boost.

Sounds to me like a MAP sensor going south or maybe it just needs a cleaning. Also check the MAP sensor plug. I'd clean it well and ad dielectric grease before re-plugging.

Hurts nothing, that code shows up if you disconnect the MAP for more smoke...

Only if you have an Edge Comp, maybe there is a few others also. If stock tho, the ECM will put you into a limp mode; as with most other performance boxes such as some Quadzilla's or Banks or Edge Juice and I beleive Edge Ez.

I think this happened to me leaving a stop light. The truck didn't respond well and it took a few seconds to get going. That's when the "check engine" light came on. At first I thought my time had run out with the P0216 code (I've had that for over a year now). I drove the truck a little while ago and all is normal. Perhaps just a hiccup I guess. I'll dig in and look at some connectors tommorow when it's cool... Thanks for the tips and keep 'em coming if you have another idea....

With my luck, the VP would quit not in my driveway but when I am 200 miles away in the mountains, in the middle of a shelf road. So, when I saw the 0216 I decided it was enough of a hint and replaced the injection pump.

Time to dig up a fossil here.. I was towing my camp trailer this weekend and I could barely make 6% grades at 40-45 mph. On the way up the hills the engine would go flat, I assume it was defueling, and then rev back up but I had no power. On the way down today, I stopped and unplugged my ez, removed my p0237 and p0216 codes and carried on. I barely made it up the next 6% and I was right on the right line of the temp guage and doing 35 mph.
On a side note, while I was unhooking my ez, I noticed smoke puffing out of the breather hose where the puke bottle used to be. I don't recall seeing that before..
Is it time for a new VP?
