Need some trouble code help

Ok, i hooked up a scanner to my truck after getting the check engine light to repeatily come on after taking the negatives off the battery for a reset.

I ended up getting two codes........

P0121...APPS and idle validation disagree

P0230...Transfer pump ckt out of range

Can someone tell what the problem may be?

What happens is that every once in awhile i totally lose power for about 3 seconds then it kicks back on. Seems to happen at lower RPM..

Thanks

Jeff

Yes, Transfer Pump = Lift Pump.

Could be a dying lift pump, or a dying APPS, or both.

What exactly is a APPS? Is it easy to fix?

Does it somehow sense Lift pump pressure and thats why it's sending me that trouble code?

thanks

No, they are seperate entitites.

Accelerator
Pedal
Position
Sensor

Fly by wire system, no physical connection between the skinny pedal and the injection pump,
APPS tells the computer how far you've pushed the pedal, computer tells the injection pump how much fuel to spray,
$300-$350 bucks to replace.

Lift pump, $150-$200 to replace.
Fuel pressure guage will let you know the health of the lift pump.

Are you saying that it could be a wiring problem or just that it is a bad wiring job from the factory?

Thanks

No, not saying that at all.

Do a search here for "lift pump" and/or "APPS" for more explanation.
