I need some help. My 99 24 valve needs another automatic transmission. It had a performance rebuild abt two years ago and its already gone again. Wouldnt shift out of first. Im interested in a performance transmission that would be more bullet proof. The truck has a edge ez and injectors. I only pull a 20 ft enclosed trailer with a car in it. Thats about as hard as it works... Any suggestions of brands and/or the cheapest place to get one would be appreciated. Thanks.

if you can't install yourself there's probably a goerend trained installer in your area

Don't forget HTS. I've got @50K on mine and it hasn't missed a beat. I'd choose between Goerend, HTS or DTT.

 

Try just replacing the shift solenoid under the valve body, That is the most common cause of not shifting out of first. Part is less than $100. Do the trani pressure switch while you are there.
