my first diesel
Just got my first diesel, an '01 2500 HO , 6 speed. I love this truck so much. The rear end seems really low geared. Does anyone know what ratios were available on this model and how I can tell what mine is?

Welcome. 
3.54 and 4.10 were available, there should be a placard inside the glovebox that tells you what you have. Don't bother with 1st gear unless you're loaded heavy, just start off in 2nd.

If your sixth gear is the same as my overdrive, and you are turning 2000 rpms at about 62 mph, then you've got the 4:10's. If you tow anything of any weight (over, say, 8,000 pounds) the 4:10's are the way to go.
