Motor mounts bad? or ???
Motor mounts bad? or ???
Guys, I have been chasing a problem for quite some time with "latteral" shimmy when over 55 mph+. It doesn't wobble on flats, sometimes on down hill grades and always on uphill or underload.
I have replaced shocks, springs, bearings, tie rods, adjusted steering box, had the drive line rebuilt and balanced, rear end rebuilt, tranny rebuilt with new torque converter, Pro Comp Control Arms, new DSS track bar and steering as well as new transmission mounts.
Just wondering if the engine is flopping around? How do I test for bad/broken motor mounts?

Just curious, have you checked the wheels and tires on the truck? Bent rim or out of balance or out of round tire?
I'm not saying it couldn't be the motor mount but I would think a wheel or tire that is bad could make a shimmy like that too.
