Yes its an inferior engine but you got to remember they wont make any money without you buying parts from them. I just replaced 1 injector and the IP. You must get a fuel pressure guage

updated info

ok, just after i bought the truck the CEL or MIL came on. had autozone check codes (PO336, PO234, PO236). bought a scaner and replaced crank sensor, cleared codes. problem solved, so i thought. i'm still getting the (PO234, PO236) codes. what is the posible cause of these codes and are they related to my first post?

If you dont want to spend $$$ on an in-cab gauge get a mechanical gauge from Harbor Freight or something. Gotta be fuel pressure causing it. Change the fuel filter and see if its still going on. Is the P0236 the VP44?? Can't remember.
