Missing part

I just noticed today that I'm missing a bolt on the exhaust manifold at the very back. There is supposed to be one right? [undecided] There is no leak that I can tell. I wounder if I take it to a dealer that they will put another one on without charging me. I have 60k on her now. I would think that warrenty would cover it? Anybody got any suggestions?

Thanks, Kimrey

Re:Missing part

There was a TSB about that very problem.
The dealer puts a strap across the heads of the bolts to keep them from backing out.

Ask your friendly neighborhood "5-Star" service person, and wear your hip-boots to protect you from the ensuing boat-load of BS.

TSB is for earlier Model years :, but it looks like the trouble is still with us. >

Re:Missing part

Thanks, so if I copy that file and take it to them they should be able to fix it. My dealer is diesel dumb. : The mechanic there is pretty good, but the reps are stupid. I usually have to bring the mechanic up front to explain the problem because the rep will not listen to me. Thanks again.

Kimrey

Re:Missing part

shovelhead, thanks again. I went to the dealer today. Actually I went to another dealer in my area, and there bomb friendly!!! ;D He said no problem and has the parts on order. It should be here Wed. Are there anymore TSB's that I should know of? Now would be the time to get it fixed, before the warrantee runs out. Does anybody else know of any TSB's. You all are great, and Thanks again shovelhead!!!

Kimrey
