Exclamation Mess of a fuel system.....

Ok so i recently bought my first cummins. An 02 thats still pretty basic and here is problem number one i wanna knock out. Whoever owned this truck was a little off in the whatever progression they wanted to make and ended up with the factory lift pump, an in tank pump, an air dog 150 gph pump, and some cheap in-line pump in front (closer to the engine) of the airdog. they bypassed the entire main fuel sytem according to the code it was throwing and while the fuel line still went thru the airdog and the junk one in front of it, the power wires werent connected and there is barely fuel pressure. any suggestions on a clean place to start would be great. Anyone that wants to help with more of the issues let me know

remove everything in the fuel system except the AirDog..
drop the tank remove the in tank pump..too

then install a fuel pressure gauge. and low pressure idiot light won't hurt either

You won't know for sure until that is the only pump running everything. The others that have failed may be restrictions. Pick the AirDog - get rid of everything else - then if you find you still only have 2lbs of pressure get a hold of AirDog and they'll assist you with fixing it up or replacing it. If it is really old it may not have their current lifetime warranty -but they'll still work with you to get a new one at a good price.

more can be better if they are in parallel..
not series..

are you sure the AD is bad??you might be only seeing 2 psi because of the other pumps/filters..

you also might need new AD filters..
