Marvel Mystery Oil

Has anyone here used the Marvel Mystery Oil (for any length of time) as a fuel conditioner?

What are the other favorites here?

Marvel Mystery oil

The 'Mystery' of Mystery oil is that it's a detergent...a very concentrated detergent, like in detergent motor oils. I had a buddy with a Marvel Injector set-up on a '75 Dodge motorhome w/ a 440. We pulled the motor at 65K to put in a hotter cam and could not believe how clean everything was! We figured it was magic but came to find it was a very concentrated form of petroleum detergent. Our mentor, Vince, said it cleans everything really well but the dirt has to go somewhere...probably the filters! Next time you get dirty working on your truck clean your hands with it and you will see what I mean! IMO as far as using it as a fuel conditioner goes, I imagine it will cean up your tank and fuel lines and deposit it in your filter. I always have a jug of Marvels for my mowers and other gas powered equip. and use it when they get running rough, it seems to help. The Dodge tech checked my diesel fuel and said it was in the 'green' and asked where I was getting it because he wanted to get it for his truck. He said it was the best he'd seen around here in three years as a tech! So, I haven't bothered to run anything in my truck.

On occasion I use it to fill the filter housing during replacement. For tank by tank conditioning I use PS Diesel Kleen with cetane boost. I run alot of WVO though so the extra cetane and cleaning powers are a must to help eleminate any excessive glycerin deposits.

From various discussion here, the last few months every fill
(25ish gallons) gets 16oz PS, 8oz MMO, and 4 oz 2stroke.
I'd complete the arithmetic progression with 2oz of that
stuff the guy in Texas(?) sells, but I've run out.

Bought a wide mouthed bottle at walmart, screw off lid
with a secondary cap in it. And has oz markings making
it easy to measure. Pour it in, and mix up the next batch
while the tank is filling.

FWIW
