MAP sensor/ MPG

Has anyone replaced just the map sensor and has seen an increace in MPG ?I replaced my IAT and have seen 1-2 mpg improvement. Wondering if MAP sensor will increase MPG further.Currently getting 14-15 MPG city, im never on the highway longer then 15 mins. Yes i have cleaned my map with no improvement . The IAT has never been dirty, just out of range(resistence check).

What socket does the map sensor take? I was trying to get mine out to clean it and couldn’t get on it, not sure if it’s wrong socket or a fuel line in the way

My map just died and I've been getting great mileage! mainly because I only have anything like power around atmospheric bost levels so I have to take it easy

FYI I just ordered one from Cummins for a whole $50 rather then the $150 Dodge was going to try to get me for

Edit:

Ordered Monday @4pm
Fedex drops it off at my door Tuesday @11am

Now thats customer service

I got a quick question guys...

How in the heck do you get the plug off it? I haven't found a way to un-plug the harness to it...

I feel pretty small when a plug got me beat...

Mini14,
I have close to the same setup as you do (excluding 4x4)and I'm also getting around 15 mpg in the city, but 19 mpg on the highway. I think that's pretty normal. If not, someone let me know, I'd love to add an extra couple of miles to my city driving!

Sensor... More or less a temp probe to measure air temp in the manifold...

I would say if the Map sensor is not defective, you would not gain a thing in milage.

I replaced my IAT sensor two weeks ago. Did not see any change in mpg. My truck has 33k on it and the old sensor was pretty dirty even though the truck has no exhaust brake. I cleaned the old sensor but decided to put in a new one just to see if the mpg would increase.
Next step is to clean the MAP sensor to see if that has any effect. I'm pretty sure the MAP takes a 32mm deep socket based on what I've seen on this web site and at the TDR site.
