Map Sensor

I do not have my maintenance book with me at this time. I would like to know where the MAP sensor is located.

welcome ... how come you got questions already?


It's on top of the Airbox tube on newer trucks,the FIPK relocates it to the side.



it's in the "stock" location here - on the silver pipe.<P>

04ctd i think you are talkin about the MAF sensor (mass air flow sensor). MAP sensor is Mainfold Absolute Sensor.

well, i've been wrong more than i've been right....

anyways, the thing i pointed out would be considered a "intake air temperature sensor" usually on GM cars

i called & tried to buy one, the parts guy said it was a MAP, and sent me that.

but i bet you are right, and the parts guy was
