Map / AKA Boost Sensor

OK,

I've looked all over, it the MAP sensor a dealer only item?

The one dealer I spoke to said it has a superceeded part, the NEW pigtail is $50, the sensor was just over $200.

I found one dealer in GA that has the old part # for just over $100.

Fact is I am not even sure I need this part, so is it at all possible to get this sensor any other way for less coin?

Feels good!

Try these guys http://www.hoeslidiesel.com/specials.htm I've bought stuff from them before. Their prices all seem pretty good. They sell the MAP for $71.06 and the adapter harness for $11.79.

Just purchased one for my 98.5 at Cummins in Houston (713-679-2220) Paid roughly $45 no pigtail needed. I am not sure if that pigtail converson is for diffrent years or what.

if you have no local dealer in sure they would mail it for just a few $$ more

Yeah, the 98.5 to 2000's are different and cheaper then those for 2001 and 2002.
