Manual or auto

Ive got the truck in my sig havin some tranny slippage and what not and seems like im at the magical number of 100k where most dodge trannys go i want to make some serious power down the road and i dont pull a thing. id like to take it to the track and maybe do a pull or two if i get the chance. with that said i would love a manual but wouldnt mind an auto. i wanna do something with the tranny in the up coming summer. while the trannys out id like to spend the money and beef it up then fix it and add down the road. now the big question should i try to go manual? i know almost every manual owner out there loves it. i could make alot of power with nothing internal. Iver heard the cons of a manual is you loose boost... couldnt i plug the waste gate and keep most of that boost in but i still have to let off the gas everytime. i also would like to do some wheelin. just throw anything out there for me

quote maybe on how much it is for the conversion if youve done it
