In need of replacing injector pump so beginning to check out fuel related items. Transfer pump was replaced with Dodges grand idea of putting it in the fuel tank. Checked fuel pressure last night and had 7.5 at the ip at an idle and 4.75 at 2100 rpm. Found a guy with an ip w/ 2 months on it and a high performance transfer pump for $700. My concern being when did they start putting the steel sleeves in the vp44 instead of the brass ones, and is there a date code on the pump to verify which one it has. Second I have read here on the forums people talking about needing 15 psi, is that for a stock setup or modified one. I'm running an Edge Pro comp, 4" exhaust, and a K&N filter, nothing to radical but want to protect the ip best I can.
