Lost the Tie-Rod..Dealer wants $3000.00

I would put Luke's links on you track bar and tie rod ends to repair those, put new ball joints in and and do the Energy Suspension control arm bushings. I would bet you could do all of this for around $1,000. Ball joints are never fun. Good luck, Eric

Standard fair for pretty much any service shop. Unfortunately, it's a liability for them if you had it in there and they noticed something was worn and didn't tell you, then you get in a wreck caused by something worn and try to sue them for not telling you (yeah, there are people that would try to pull that).

Every time I ever take my rig in for an alignment, they feed me that line about how the ball joints are bad, the tie-rod ends are bad, the track bar is bad, etc etc... and they can't align the truck because it won't "stay aligned"... I even had them tell me that the ball joints on my rig were worn out, when all four of them had been replaced 4 months prior by myself.
