Unhappy lose of power while driving

I need help, while driving my 1999 2500 turbo diesel the truck will lose speed or just stay at the same speed no matter if I push the pedal to accelerate, it will not go any faster and then a few minutes later it will kick in and let me accelerates. My cruise control wont work now either. I need help figuring this out.

Sounds like a case of dead pedal , try resetting the apps, apart from that , i am unfamiliar with diagnosing the apps/VP it could be either of them.

is the check engine light on, if so get the codes read. Sounds like the vp is taking a dump though. You are getting the dead pedal, same thing i had, which is why i put on a new vp earlier this week.

Go to Autozone and have them run your diagnostic codes. They'll do it for free. If your code is a P0121, you need a new APPS or Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor. If the code is P0216, you'll need a new VP44. There are many other codes. Have them check your codes and repost the codes here.
