I was checking my transfer case oil and found the nuts were all loose, allowing the TC to rock just slightly. I tightened them up. Did vibration from the diesel cause this? Is this a common problem and something that needs to be checked frequently? Thanks

 

Normally if they are torqued up to spec in sequence (if there is one) there is not a problem. Possibly use lock tite next time.
