How bolts & nuts come loose

It's far too cold to go out and play with my truck so I decided to waste some time furthering my engineering training.

Here is a link I found to a site with some really good simply written information on nuts and bolts.

Think a lock washer will prevent a bolt from coming loose?? Not so, in fact a plain old hard washer is considerably better. Check the Junkers test video at bottom of the left hand column.

I'm not selling or advocating the software just pointing to their free information section. It's very good. Well worth reading.

Interesting site!

'Course, I'm a little on the 'odd' side, so others may not share my enthusiasm, but thanks for postin' it!
