Wheel Bearing Nuts?

Sorry folks -- I know I saw this somewhere here, did a search, and can't find it:

Part numbers for the old wheel bearing nuts and lockwasher for the spicer 70 rear axle. Does anyone have these to hand? Also, is there a similar improvement that can be made to the front hubs?

Thanks!

Alec

Re:Wheel Bearing Nuts?

I had to replace one the those seals on my 2wd 95. That nut is a b$*&h. No one had the correct size. & If those that did, such as Sears, the socket wall was too thick. So, I found a socket at NAPA, it is a 2 1/2" 6 sided socket. It is not a perfect fit. But it does the job. I think it was about 32 bucks. I am sure snap-on has one that fits perfect. But I ususally have to get a mortgage on the house to buy anything from snap on. You will probably just need a new seal. Fairly easy job, once you get the brake drum off.

Good luck.

Gary

Yep Napa is the only source that I could find. Mine is not 2 1/2 though it is 2 7/16, cost the same. The wharehouse said that they are a hot item, no one sells them.
