Lookin for some help on driveability issues.

I bought a modified 24V, and to make things short. It starts to sound like it is surging or the converter is locking and unlocking very quickly. It has a DTT tranny w/lock up switch, you can lock it up and no more problems. The tranny has just been rebuilt 2 or 3 months ago. Has a fairly new Industrial Injection VP44. I just can't figure it out and at the same time am new to the whole Dodge thing, but love the truck so far. It seems like it will come and go. Right now it keeps coming. It is about to drive me nuts.

There are other links out there, solutions from resetting APP, to wrapping the alternator wire with tinfoil, to running seperate grounds to the APP or to the ECM

Sounds like the TC is cycling. Pretty common.

Did your DTT install include a noise filter? If not, it's a simple addition that seems to be a great fix.

Obviously, it could be something else. But I am into easy first.

My old II HRVP surged at light load, medium RPM. I see you have the same, could be the same issue. Does it have an erratic idle as well?

When mine did that, I fixed it by disconnecting the batteries and doing the relearn thing with the pedal. Slowly to the floor and slowly back up. No more problems and it's been 7-8 months.

It seems to only have an erratic idle at times. The only thing is the pump is fairly new.

Mine did it from day one, never did it with the stock pump though.
