Long vs short block..

I have read on some posts either here are at TDR about short or long block engines.. What is the difference? and if applicable, which are in which trucks (2nd generation)??<br><br>thanks<br>

OK.. that makes sense.. the posts i read were about engine failures and replacement engines..<br><br>I thought (there i go again trying to use this brain) that it referred to literally a long or short (length wise) block<br><br>thanks<br><br>
