Hey Guys, I'm back. Well, it's been a couple years since I had the problem with the torque converter disengaging. Since I cleaned up the grounds, there hasn't been the slightest problem. Thanks again for the great advice.

I'll be trying this in the next few days. I'm also replacing my battery cables. I think I may have a bad battery, so a couple of new ones may be in my future. I've gotta try everything before replacing the transmission.
This should be a sticky

Thank you.
Hello everyone.
I'm new to the Cummins and new to the forum. I just financed my 2001 2500 less than a week ago. After a couple of days I noticed that I had this problem with the torque converter clutch unlocking all the time.
I went looking for help and found this thread. It turns out that it wasn't the grounds in my case. It was the throttle position sensor. After finding a DTC for the throttle position sensor and discussing it with my local mechanic (he said that when the throttle position sensor starts to go out the condition is worse when you're using cruise control) I decided to replace mine. That was three days ago and everything has been fine since.
I wanted to thank this community. I was very worried that I had just financed a dying truck. I had no idea where to begin, but the help I got here put me on the right track right away.
Now I know my truck is solid and so is the advice I find here. I shall return.
