Welcome to the site Spike.

I believe there was a TSB covering a reflash for certain year trucks wit this trouble.

What year is your truck?

Mine acts like its shifting up and down b/t 45-55mph. Its like it has the hick ups.

You might try resetting the APPS.

Most likely is electrical noise from the alternator. First clean the bat posts and if it is a 98 to 02 do the APPS reset. If older that 98 its a tps and needs cleaned.
If it continues call DTT and ask for a noise filter.DTT
Good luck.

Reset the APPS You have a claassic example of an APPS problem. Did you have the batteries. Any time you disconnect the batteries you should reset the APPS.

Hey Spike, my '99 was doing the same thing. I took it to Williamsburg Dodge and they found a TSB to reflash the PCM......something about electrical noise. Anyway it worked!! My baby is running right again and it only cost me $100.

The APPS reset worked great on my 2000....for about a day and a half. Waiting on a call back from dtt about the noise filter. Hopefully i'll have good news after I get/install it.
