Lift pump / Fuel issues
Lift pump / Fuel issues
Hey guys I'm getting busy again which means more time in my truck...
I've replaced my lift pump 3 times in the last 2 years and my current one, which is less than 6 months old is already showing 5psi at idle...
Truck is stock under the hood with an AFS intake and WCD fuel lines being the only changes.
About a month ago I was rolling along at 60 and I started to coast down, I gave it more throttle but it didnt pick up at all.
I stopped in a parking lot, got out, scratched my head, restarted the truck and it would rev strong to bout 1400rpms where it would fall flat on its face... I turned it off, scratched my head again and restarted it with the same results. Right before I gave up i started it a third time and its run fine ever since.
Any ideas?
Edit: I forgot to mention that I have REALLY bad MPG, down in the 9 range which is absurd on a basically stock truck.
Combine this with my transmission thread and I start thinking maybe APPS
