Leak at Pump inlet
Leak at Pump inlet
I installed a FPG and ran the braided line off of the Inlet to the IP where the shrader valve was. I know most guys run it off the bottom of the filter, and I'll probably end up moving i there when the weather gets warmer, but when I installed the thing it was freezing and I just wanted to get it working. Anyway, after the install, I seem to have a every so slight leak around the banjo bolt in the inlet port. I did not use any teflon tape - I read that that was a bad idea because the fuel will eat it away and it can get lodged in the pump.
Is it safe to keep tightening the bolt? how tight is too tight? Or is there some other type of tape or sealant to be used on the brass fittings?
Thanks,
Sam

You DID put the sealing washers back, right?
There should be two. one on either side of the fuel line "banjo" part.
The bolt head seals at the top, the fitting in the housing at the bottom.
Sorry if this sounds silly, but just want to be sure.
