Lack of VSS signal?

I have an '01 Cummins that I'm swapping into a '99 F250 and I'm wondering if the lack of a VSS will adversly affect the fueling tables in the ECM. So is it gonna run or what? Thanks a bunch.

Ok, I came across a complete '96 Cummins (bad shortblock) with a 215 pump setup so out with the VP44 and in with the P7100. Anyone got a good source for inline conversion lines for a 24V? The best price I've found so far is $360.
