You can get the whole kit from several aftermarket sources, TST, etc. If you already have a seal, the tab itself is Cummins part number 3958017

I would say it would be cost prohibitive to lock wire the bolts on one of these engines. It would have to be done by hand, and I'd hate to see the job a hack mechanic would do re-wiring the bolts.

There's the real reason....... Man, you should see some of the safety wiring jobs I see on our Bottle Machines, and those are supposedly Journeyman mechanics.

I know if they were safety wired and I didn't do the work myself, the first thing I would do would be to rip the front off and re-do whatever job had been done, unless I knew it had never been apart.

I would hate to see what kind of carnage sending bits of safety wire through would do.......
