KDP on 24v what years?
Should I be worried about the KDP with my '01?
Thanks

i checked my 99 to be sure and it has the necked case. 50$ for the crank seal and some rtv sealant for the perimeter of the cover is cheap insurance against a BIG bill later. why risk it? IMO

Glad I checked this thread out... I was thinkin the KDP was just on the 12 valvers. I'm swappin VP's in about a week, might have to do that fix, too while I'm under the hood.

No, you have to pull the front cover off to check to see if the KDP has moved or if you have the updated case. I am going to pull the front of my 02 apart in a couple weeks just to make sure. I did a 97 with 190k on it a month ago and the dowel pin never moved. some guys are lucky some aren't.

Just did my 98 and it was sticking out 3/8" so put them on the list. All my bolts were tight with red loctight on them..... the 1's I could get at without pull'in the cam BTW nice design cummin's. Nate
