hey just thought id say hi i ahve 98 dodge disel with the 5.9 24 valve dont know alot about the diesil but im lerning i had a question about my 24 valve haw often should i have my valves adjusted and haw long should i let it warm up in the mornings thanks guys

welcome to DTR and welcome to the diesel world

usually every 125,000-150,000 miles.

check out this site

just a list of all the basic maintenenace

just ask if you have anymore questions, a lot of helpful guys here

ohh, and where do you live? if its pretty cold just letting it warm up to operating temps would be good enough. not sure how your climate is. if you click the link that says "user cp" up at the top left you can fill in your signature as to what the details of your truck are

thanks for your help im slowly lerning i live in kelowna canada about 3 hours from spocan were in texas are you from i lived in a small tawn called tyler for a year while i did my fire fighting loved it cant wait to go back

as far as warm up is concerned, i usually start driving as soon as the oil pressure comes up......i have 230 thousand miles on it and don't use any oil other than a small leak.
some day I'll fix it
