John Deere Fuel Additive
A very well respected diesel tech in my area suggested using a fuel additive in my truck. I told him I was using Howes, and he said I should be looking at something that has a better lubricity rating, like Stanadyne. Hard to find around here, and $spencey$. I noticed that the comparisons of different fuel additives shown on the Stanadyne site showed that the John Deere stuff tested out just as good as theirs. Another member told me they were the same thing. Went to the JD shop yesterday and the guy said yep, same stuff. Paid $42 cdn for enough to treat 32 tanks of fuel. Feel pretty good about it. Anybody want to buy a couple jugs of Howes cheap?
