Jaw dropper

Has anyone purchased this off of eBay?

It's suppose to give miracle power and high miles per gallon.

Don't do it. You get what you pay for. This is just a little chip that goes inline and lies to the computer. Causes way more problems than performance gains.

More'n likely a resistor on the Map sensor or IAT sensor. Seen them before.

Thanks to all who responded!

If you you were going to spend the money to purchase a chip or whatever they are called, which one would you buy if you were trying to improve your mileage?

My truck is no hotrod. 3/4 ton 24 valve six speed 2 wheel drive with a commercial shell that tows a 32 foot pull behind about 12 times a year.

I get 15.5 in town and 12-13 pulling the trailer at highway speeds. (read 70-75) I was looking to pick up a possible few miles per gallon without spending 15 hundred for all kinds of things I don't believe are necessary.

I've heard the "chip" is the way to go, but don't know which one. )

from what i gather you have a "stock" truck. there a couple different chips you can get. beings you dont have a fuel system or upgraded clutch or anything your gonna wanna stick with somethin that adds under 100 hp. the edge ez, smarty, and the superchip programmer all add around 60 hp and should get you better mileage if your driving is decent. and it shouldnt wear out your clutch. also you should be able to get those for 500 or under. good luck.

I'd suggest an Edge Juice with Attitude monitor. They run about $700 new I believe, but you can probably find a used one for $4-500. If you don't connect the wire to the pump, they are good for 60 HP I believe. The reason I suggest that is it will give you all your gauges as well. Fuel pressure, EGT, and Boost are the main ones.
