the past month i have been having a problem with the truck, at first i thought it was the tranny, but upon further review it seems i have an issue with the throttle position sensor or something. on light throttle the truck seems like it cannot decide what gear to be in and shifts down for a split second then back, really quick! anyone have any experience with this? i checked the codes with my smarty and i had a throttle code one time, when i went back to check which one it was it was gone and has not come back. i do not remember which number code it was either. is there a "fix" or do i need a new part? how much are we talking? thanks steve

 

just few things. traanny fluid is okay? have you cleaned the apps? or done an apps reset? adjusted the 1st gear band on the transmission? fluid/filter change on the trans?

just a few thoughts to ge the conversation going!

 

tranny fluid was changed 15,000 miles ago, it is fine and the level is good. no on the band adj. no on the apps, maybe i will do the apps this weekend.
