Please keep us posted. I am going to try your fix myself. My '02 has been doing the same thing above 2000 RPM for a couple of weeks.

 

I have not had any more "episodes", and I have been pretty hard on it. I am going to put my friend's Smarty on it soon, but I doubt it will make any difference. When I looked at the wiring harness for molestation I only checked close to the plug. Is there somewhere else to tap the pump wire that I missed? A picture of where someone has their wire tapped would be great.
