While getting prices on my injection pump I was talking to the local dealer parts dept. They asked if I ran farm diesel in my truck. My response was "No it against the law, right". Then I started thinking and asked "what difference does it make, the truck is out of warranty, and I have to pay for the injection pump anyway." Their response was that the the farm fuel will damage the pump so that it cannot be rebuilt. I call it BS. If I understand correctly farm fuel has a higher lubricity than regular diesel. I also don't recall reading where farm fuel was cause to void the warranty. I know some ranches that run farm fuel but the trucks never get off the ranch. This is legal but will void the warranty???
Another way for them to get out of paying up on poor design. BTW I got a price on a pump for $1,100.00 from the dealer if warranty doesn't cover it. Can't find a better price

Re:Interesting
The only difference between red fuel and green fuel is road tax and a little dye.

If anything, the red fuel is better for the pump because it may contain a little more lubercative properties.
