Injectors? 275 or 300 or?

Need to do VP 44 and at 200K I think I will do the injectors too because I nedd way more power and my mileage is crap!

So I was looking into the RV275 bosch or the 300hp bosch. Anyone know of the 300hp bosch. I know the RV275 are real popular.

Do they blow black smoke? ALot or little? HOw bout at idle?

ANy other injector that might be good for me?

I need towing power and I need it to idle nice as I need it for work all day runnning! No smoke at idle! I dont care if it smokes while on it!

Thanks in advance! T

Look at F1 diesel. Maybe some Mach 1.6's. Good injector but a little pricey, but as they say you get what you pay for.

AFAIK, there no no 300hp bosch injectors. They just call ehte RV275's 300's to make them more appealing. Thats what I've read, anyway. If all you have is these injectors, smoke will be very little. These are OEM injectors, so they will be pretty clean.

One thing you will need to address no matter what injector upgrade you go with is the need for a boost fooler or a performance box because you do not have one with that diabalo power puck. Without this i think you will be throwing codes and not getting full power from the injector upgrade. The 275rv's and the bosch 300's are the same for a 24 valve but their is a 300 available for the 12 valves it is part # 0 432 133 864 and it works real nice no smoke or haze at idle.

Get the RV275, they don't smoke unless you have a box.
Most important if you want good fuel mileage REPLACE your IAT sensor.

I just did mine 2 days ago, went from Minneapolis to Detroit and gained 3.5/mpg.

Yes I am not kidding, I gained over 100 miles range with a fuel tank. I had my IAT cleaned as usual but I saw the price of a new one is only $ 30 shipped here so I replaced it.

It repaid itself in 1/2 trip, after 2 tankful. Trust me if you mileage sucks replace it.

I bought it here:

But many online dealers have more or less same price.

If you have the money, I'd definately go with the F1 Mach 1.6 injectors. Everyone that has them has nothing but good to say about them. If you ever decide to go with a mild box, I'd go with the Quadzilla Xzt+. It gives you a nice 65hp boost and you can down load different tunes to it with your laptop or home computer.

I do have a boost elbow and BAHF and 5" exhaust with a resonator and long muffler. I just think at full boost 38-30 and sometimes 32# the truck needs more fuel!! So I thought better injectors or larger would be great while I replace the VP44!!??!!!

Your still gonna throw map sensor codes for overboosting though unless you have some kind of boost fooler. This will reduce your power.

the only fueling upgrade I have are the RV275's. The aren't pushing enough fuel to get my boost up to code setting levels. I think on a HO engine such as mine, the overboost threshold is around 26psi. 20psi is the most boost I see from it. I don't know if maybe me having switched to the SO inj. pump is holding me back or not. I don't think a boost elbow would help my boost any as I have no smoke what so ever, egt's aren't any higher than with the stock injectors. I will be intalling a used edge ez however, only because I picked it up supper cheap. Hopefully then I'll get a little more out of the 275's. I only went with this set up for fuel mileage gains right now. I eventually wanna work my way up to some Mach 4's and a Quad Adrenaline, and ofcourse the requiset bigger turbo and so on and so forth.

So if I buy Injectors larger than RV275 with BAHF, Diablo timing puck and 5" exhaust I will throw codes??

What is the next injector size up from RV275's?
That are price in near ballpark?
