Just out of curiosity, why did you and how did you talk Dodge in to replacing a part that didn't show up as faulty? Sonny

 

I had heard that the lift pumps were keeling over left and right and the parts man even said "You mean you haven't replaced yours yet??"
Well.I talked to the service manager and he wrote down "Truck is hard to start"................
The mechanic checked out the pump,he said it needed to be replaced.
I assume it was borderline good/bad and he basically saved me from future grief.
If I would have known about all the problems associated with a bad lift pump,I might have pressed for a new injector pump.
But I have put 35,000 miles on the engine since the lift pump,with no problems from the IP.
Seems like I caught it just in time.

Well.I will keep this number in mind should my truck start to act up.
I hope it holds up for a long time.
I really don't need any additional expenses right now.
