injector install how to

I just got my new injectors in the mail today and im looking for a link or any info that will aid me in this process, i have never done this before. I guess im looking for a step by step procedure. I do have a puller so that will not be an issue. Thanks guys

1.5 hrs start to finish is a good average for first timers.

While you are in there, might as well check your valves.

I adjusted my valves at the same time as my new injector install. Adds another 30 minutes to an hour.

I actuall just did my valves, for the longest time i was under the impression that you had to pull the rocker arms off to do the injectors thats great that you dont have to i dont know where i got that from.

Definitely put new copper washers on when you do the swap. Since that usually required a trip to Cummins for parts, I usually grabbed new o-rings as well just for peace of mind.

I think I got one more question on the instructions. what do they mean when they say Remove the 8mm forward most injector retaining clamp bolts only. It is not necessary to remove the rear injector retaining clamp bolts

The front of the retainer is drilled. The back of the retainer is open ended and slides under the rear retainer bolt. All you have to do is remove the front bolt and then lift and slide the retainer out.
