I HAD MY LIFT PUMP CHANGED UNDER WARRANTY 1 WEEK AGO,THE INJ.PUMP CODED P-0216 ALSO,HOWEVER THEY TOLD ME THAT SINCE I HAD AN EDGE CHIP THAT IT MIGHT NOT BE WARRANTABLE.ARE THEY BLOWING SMOKE OR AM I SOL

 

Probably, depending on the Dealer, most won't honor a warranty with any mods whatsoever. Mine told me any mod was ok except injectors, but I know the Service Advisor. Does it run ok?? Try resetting the codes and see what happens.

Comp or just EZ? I can see them having issues with a tapped pump wire.

 

THANKS FOR THE REPLYS.THE CHIP IS A PLUG IN UNIT I GOT IT FROM A FRIEND WHO USED TO WORK AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP IN ACCESSORIES DEPT.HE TOOK IT OFF A CUSTOMERS TRUCK AND GAVE IT TO ME.THE INFO ON THE BOX IS UNREADABLE SO AM GOING BY WHAT HE SAID.THIS MY 1ST DIESEL HAS 65000 MI.I'VE HAD THE TRUCK FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR......02 EXT.CAB SHORT BED HO 6SPD 3.55 LSD

It's up to the discretion of the dealer. If the chip was to disappear from your truck before it went to the dealer, it probably wouldn't be a bad thing.

 

The lift pumps and injector pumps have been a major disaster for DC and DC is doing everything it can to avoid paying for the repair. I'm in the same boat as you, the dealer changed the LP under warranty but when it came to the injector pump they said no way because it's chipped. We all know it has nothing to do with the chip but has all to do with the LP failure. When the LP fails the injector pump has to pull from the tank and it's not designed to do that. Not long after the lift pump goes the injector pump.
If you can remove ALL traces, and I mean ALL traces of the EZ unit you might be able to take it to another dealer and have it done under warranty. Apparently they don't pass the information onto DC so it might be worth a try.
