identifying a bad clutch

So, couple days back I posted about possibly needing to R/R my trans but the more I think about it the more I think part of the problem is the clutch. I was getting stuck in the occasional gear and sometimes it wouldn't go into gear without matching the RPMs.

I just towed ~6k lbs up to Fordyce last weekend and back down and I had 0 clutch slippage. Aside from slipping what other symptoms does a dying clutch exhibit? What should I be looking / listening / feeling for?

if it wont disengage the clutch it sounds like a hydraulic problem. Either the slave or master cylinder is shot or the fluid is low.

So, the two symptoms of a dying clutch are it's either slipping or won't disengage? That's what I figured but felt i'd run it by the masters.

Not disengaging is not an indicator of clutch condition, it just says the hydraulic release is not working properly
