You can get either at any autoparts store, Fuel stop any where ... normally labled starting fluid, Just use a very small squirt!
And yes, I agree this is most likely a good sign the pump has died, But before saying its dead , you should check all routes possible!

Spray a small shot in the intake, or in the turbo, Not a huge burst, Spray it while someones starting the engine, If it fires and runs fine, Great, If it runs and dies, THEN look into your fuel system!
The chance of an explosion is rare, Thats why i recomend using a small amount. Bumping the key will only show fuel flow pre pump, Very Small amount through the pump , most would go back to the tank.

Alright the one question i have is, when i am getting 18psi off the output from the fuel filter, and crank the engine over for 10 seconds, should fuel spray out of the 6 ports on the back of the vp44, or should it only dribble out of 3 not 6 and barley put any fuel out, i heard that if you have the lines off, you can spray and hit the firewall?

A 5x5 run with my Juice killed my pump, Had it floored and goin good then all of a sudden it died, it restarted and ran for about 10 sec. then died and wouldnt restart. ckd for codes and found 1688 and 1689. My VP was dead in the water. Have you scanned for codes? My cel lite never came on but there was codes set.

mine did the same thing and air got into the lines i tried to turn it over until the batteries died. my dad and i pull started it and about 1/ 8 mile down it cleared all the air in the lines and started it. bleed the lines and everything is ok i also have edge juice with hot.
