hub bearings stuck, everything else bad

Took the old beast into get aligned only to find out the 3 of 4 ball joints are bad. Started to tear into it yesterday to find a bad U-joint, an axle seal leaking and a questionable hub bearing.

I can not get the hub bearings out on either side. I am to the point that I don't care about the bearings since one was bad anyways. I have tried hitting the bolts with a hammer, the power steering trick, and I even hit the wheel hub with a sledge since it looked like someone already had tried that. I am in day two of soaking them every couple hours in PBR blaster with no luck at all. Anyone got any other ideas? I really need this thing back together for work this week if possible.

Thanks

I hate to take a torch to the knuckles especially after the amount of PBR blaster I have sprayed on them. Amazon has the oreily's brand bearings for 158 and timkens for 201. BUT that doesn't help me right now since I still can not get either side.

I had that happen a couple times. I took my 4" grinder with a cut-off wheel and made a slice between the spindle and the hub bearing at two opposite corners where the bolts come through. Make the cuts pretty deep. That will give you a spot to start a chisel in and wedge it out by driving the chisel in. start with small chisel that doesn't taper much.

I dunno, when it glows it goes in my book. I had one really stubborn one in my old 1500 that I borrowed an acetelene torch for. Nice even heat, cooled the bearing with a wet rag and it practically fell out, wasn't quite glowing but pretty close. 2 days before that trying to pound in chisels, soaking in PB, power steering tricks, you name it. Good luck, these front ends suck sometimes to get apart.
