How to tell if factory VP44?
Hey Guys,
Is there a physical difference between the factory VP44 and replacement VP44s? Such as paint, etc?
Trying to determine that by looking from under the hood.

If factory will have a yellow and black "VOID" sticker over the visible side where the electronics plug is under the APPS cover....at least mine does....

Not always but sometimes re-manufactured VP's are painted black. OEM VP's are not painted so if yours is black then thats a quick way to determine its not OEM. If its not painted than look around on the side of the VP you'll notice a flat machined surface with some stamping and potentially indicating re-manufactured.
