How far can you push a stock turbo on a 02 auto be for it pops.

 

Till it pops, I guess. Like Ron White said to the guy in the seat next to him. He could gar un tee the plane they we're riding in would would get them all the way to the scene of the crash. They'd even beat the ambulance there.

 

IIRC the HY's and HX's become ineffecient after about 35psi. Id say keeping it above that would a) increase the chance for failure and b) increase the chance of catastrophic engine damange.
