How do i tell if its a High output?

How do i tell if its a High output?

Getting ready to trade mine in becouse its havin to many problems i found i 2002 3500 with a 6 speed and only 18000 miles in Iowa the salesman said he didnt know if it was a high output or not how can i tell if it has the HO engine or jsut the regular??

I believe that the six speeds only come with the high output.

Thats right, in 2002 if its a six-speed, then its an HO. It was the only tranny option for the HO, and not available with the SO...

besides the obvious being factory rated output and transmission(s)??

different injections pumps
different injectors
the H.O. has a higher compression ratio

My 99 3500 DRW was the one of the sport editions, was this a HO?
I doubt it, but just checkin.

H.O.'s weren't available in 1999.

The 8th digit in the vin# will be a 7 if it's a HO, 6 for SO.
