Hot start issues

I posted this a while ago, thought i would ask again and see if there has been anything new on this. My truck starts like a champ when it is cold. It sat for two weeks and i started it up this evening and it fired up instantly. Get the motor hot (operating temp) and it will take several revs. of the motor to fire. Anyone got any idea on this???

Look at this post from Tate in your last thread about hard starting. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...25&postcount=8. Same thing happened to me when I installed a FASS. Some VPs don't like the high fuel pressure when starting. The Hobbs switch waits till oil pressure comes up before turning on the FASS.

I read somewhere that the stock LP only sees 6V when starting.

I'm really suprised that there are this many people still dealing with this issue when running aftermarket fuel pumps. I thought the Hobbs switch was a well known fact.

Like I said before, not every VP will behave the same way, but mine didn't like the FASS. I returned it to the stock LP and now it starts at 1/2 a crank like it used to..... not 15 cranks like the FASS........and yes, it only happened when hot or within 10 minutes of shutting down.
