HO vs Non HO

Does anyone know the differences between a 2001 24 V HO engine and non HO engine ?

I think the VP-44 was different. HO had the HO pump and the other models had the SO. I am not sure other than that.

In 01 and 02 the 6 speeds were the HO's. higher compression, different IP, and smaller injectors. 245 HP vs. 235 HP in the 5 speeds and autos (SO)

Did the different IP still have the inherent VP-44 issues?

I think all the VP44 have issues. The 01/02 may have been some better.
Best insurance is an FP gauge.

never changed an h.o vp44 yet, all autos and 5gears.
