i have had the high idle feature turned on in my truck, it works except when i use the remote starter it shuts off the truck when the idle ramps up. is there any way around this? no use having the two if i cant use them......

 

Mine works fine.

What brand of remote start do you have?

Most likely it just needs to be adjusted, so it doesn't mind the higher idle.

I tried mine for the 1st time this morning. No problems.

 

If it is a tach sensing unit it might turn off. You could set it for voltage sensing which would read off of your alternator. Mine works fine with high idle. The tach sensing feature also has a threshhold adjustment so it will allow more tolerance. This is true with DEI and Audiovox units.

 

not sure of the brand, it was there when i got it, but i know the place that put it in. i'll have to go talk with them monday. thanks guys

 

i believe he said it was a dynatech unit. he clipped the tach wire to see if that would do it, but this morning it shut off again.
