High idle cackle with smarty ?

High idle cackle with smarty ?
I assume this is the 3 cyllinder high idle but wow does it ever rattle when it kicks in! Maybe i'm just paranoid but is it good for your engine ? what is it doing exactly?

Might just be that your engine is too cold for proper combustion and its not burning all the fuel, but yes the 3cyl high idle sounds like a rod is about to come thru the side of the block.
