Here's one for you brake guys
At 100,000.0 miles my ABS and brake light came on and have stayed on now for the last 3,000 miles. I've lost all ABS control (which ain't neccesarily a bad thing). A couple of times before this happened whenever I'd press the brake pedal very lightly the pedal would sorta pulsate all the way to the floor and the lights would come on and then they'd go off in a day or so. I tried pulling the fuses and all that happens in my ABS light goes off but my brake light stays on. I tried scanning it with my smarty and there are no ABS codes and I'm not about to take it to the dealer for $90 to have them do it. Tach and speedo still work, rear speed sensor is only 4 months old and driver's side front ABS sensor is about the same (had to replace the hub so I swapped the sensor). Whenever I start the truck the brake just stays on no matter what but the ABS light turns off and then turns back on. I've tried unplugging the batteries, disconnectin the wiring harness from the ABS box. I'm at my wits end. I hate seeing those lights on cause it's tacky, annoying, and I would like to have my ABS back on certain occasions. Thanks for the help yall.

Both lights have been on for about three years now. Dodge machine reports "RF wheel sensor open". Doesn't bother me a bit since I hate ALB's anyway.
DD4X4's saying of the week: "the smarter cars get, the dumber people get".
I learned to drive in a 49 Studebaker dump truck. I still have an 81 Dodge truck slant six (pic in album) with power nothing on it and love it. Wake up people and learn to drive drive.
Whoa, did I get off topic there? SLAP !!!!!!
OK, back to the topic. Something tells me you have to pretty much disassemble the entire front wheel hub to replace that switch and I ain't ready for that yet. 172,000 miles and the front brakes are still original and over half there. Gonna be a while I guess.

I'm not sure on yours but on mine all you have to do to get to the sensor is remove the rotor and then it's just 2 little bolts holding it on. Trace the wire and unplug it. How in the world do you still have half of your brakes left? I'm on my 5th set.

Thankfully that ain't my problem. I just changed the fluid in my axles and the tone ring was in good shape. I guess I'll go and warranty the rear sensor and see if that fixes it. Any other ideas yall?

pulsing of the brakes is the master cylinder and if anything is wrong hydraulicly....the abs should be nothing but a valve box and electrical sensors to electrically pulse the brakes on you when you slam on them... If the brakes are working then your master cylinder is working if you press on the brakes does it go all the way to the floor if it does then you have bas MC if not its something in the ABS circuit... Im to bet its one f the sensors on teh front....
